AUCFS is proud to support charities that work tirelessly to improve lives within our community. This year, we are honoured to be fundraising for two incredible organizations.
Men in Mind
meninmind.orgMen in Mind is a local Aberdeen-based peer support group dedicated to men's mental health. Being rooted in Aberdeen makes this cause especially close to home for our committee and community. Their work centres on breaking stigma, promoting wellbeing, and creating safe spaces where men can speak openly and seek help.
Men are statistically less likely to seek treatment for mental health challenges, leaving many struggles unseen. By supporting Men in Mind, we aim to amplify their efforts and help strengthen a community where open conversations about mental health are encouraged and supported.
Grampian Women's Aid
grampianwa.comWe are proud to announce our second charity partner for this year: Grampian Women’s Aid, an Aberdeen-based organisation providing vital support to women, children, and young people affected by domestic abuse.
Their work focuses on creating safe spaces, delivering practical and emotional support, and raising awareness of domestic abuse. Their vision is of a fair and equal society where women, children, and young people are free from all forms of abuse and empowered with the knowledge, skills, and tools to live life to their fullest potential.
